Client Need:

After many dry years, finally there were funds for some small merit
increases. But how could the City provide honest feedback to all
employees and allocate increases appropriately?

Our Solution:

Working directly with the City Manager, we created a performance
management process that assessed both behaviors and results and
provided a solid basis for compensation changes.

Successful Result:

For the first time ever, the City was able to award differentiated
merit increases. And for the first time ever, managers were able to
explain to their employees the rationale for the increases.
